The pheasant stocking/preserve hunting season is now over. With that said, the Rifle Range and Trap Your Own will resume normal hours, see the bylaws for hours and rules. By laws are available to members only on the website (you must log in to access them).  Hard copies are also available in the club house.

Rocco will be stocking the remaining pheasants in the Orchard and Malchodi’s only due to the potential conflict with the rifle range on club property. The stocking will take place in the morning and afternoon, 10 birds will be released per stocking. Rocco would like to remind those hunting that the daily limit is 2 birds, so kindly leash your dog after you bag 2 birds  and allow fellow club members a chance to find a bird. Please remember to sign in and out and please be safe. Finally Rocco would like to thank all helped out with the bird program this year.

The next potluck supper will be a soup pot luck and board game night on January 18.  Dinner will be served at 6:30.  Bring some of your favorite soup to share.  Bread and salad will be provided.  Desserts are always welcome.  After dinner we'll have board games to play for anyone that's interested - last year there was a crazy game of Scrabble that involved a very large dictionary!

Christmas Trees are for sale for $25 (members), $35 (non-members).  Please bring your saw and leave $25 (check or cash) in the Applications/Dues mailbox by the coffee pot.  Some trees have been tagged so don't take one of those unless you tagged it!  Even better, come on Saturday between 9 and 4 and there will be folks to help!  We also have wreaths, cemetery pieces and rustic centerpieces for $15 each.

Good shooting with a shotgun and a camera!  Look closely and you'll see the targets breaking in the distance.  Photo credits to Steve Handley!

We have seen some pretty good shooting at the Trap Field this month.  In the month of June we have been running a High Line Challenge and tracking the combined score of each squad (or line) of shooters.  On Sunday (Father's Day) we had a squad of shooters attain a combined score of 117.  That means that they, as a group, missed only 8 clay targets out of 125.  The squad consisted of Teymur Kazakov, Randy Whitehouse, John Cristini, Fred Scimone and Todd Jackson.  On Wednesday, June 21 we witnessed Dave Guandalini shoot 100 straight clay targets.  That's the first 100 patch issued in recent memory.  We also had our first female shooter, Tori Williams, earn a 25 patch.  Congratulations everyone!
